Re: Knee Down
I think I'm unlikely to ever get my knee down, I never have before, but at my age I don't think I can swivel my leg out far enough sideways even if the bike was leant over far enough     I ride the busa pretty hard and get it cranked over well enough... if I could just get my old...

Re: well done somerset c##ty council
I've just picked up a big chip on my car windscreen due to the spray it and dump it method! My insurance will cover it but actually that means that we all get to pay in increased premiums so no money is saved overall! The council seem to have no long term view as these cheap and nasty methods...

Re: Tyres affecting bike
Tyres will be a big factor, the other thing to check is your rear shocks. I had a GSX1400 and found that the hydraulic adjusters leak and if one side leaks and the other doesn't you land up with more preload on one shock than on the other and that doesn't half upset the handling! If that's the case ...

Re: Which Chain Lube??
My tip for chain lube is to always do your chain when you just get back from a ride, everything is hot and any lube will generally be runniest when hot, it will penetrate better, I go for the little and often approach and i don't get a lot of fling all over my swanky gold wheels 8) When I service th...

Re: Pillions, submit your tips/opinions please.
I agree with all of the above, except that if they can let go long enough to punch your kidneys because you are going too fast ...then you ain't going fast enough. I take my Mrs on the back of my Busa and give it beans and she couldn't hang on to the grab rail without her feet coming up off the pegs...

A good ride today
Nice to get out and blow the cobwebs out and see the day out with a nice cuppa at Burnham.
Good to meet a few new people too.

Go and see Daryl at Cornucopia Tattoo in Taunton, they are just along from the station and everyone in the shop is a biker and Daryl does some nice work and tell em that big AndyT sent you. You'll see bike pictures on the wall and Daryl is the area rep for the VJMC too so he knows a bit about bikes ...

Re: End of the Line
I always look to buy bike gear, and indeed bikes for that matter, around the end of January or early February when the tumble weed is blowing through the bike dealerships and they haven't seen a customer for weeks! They are usually keen to do good deals just to take some money at all!
