Does anyone venture to West Bay

Look in here for local ride outs...

Forum rules
You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

Westbay is on my doorstep (12miles) and yes it is a place to meet. It gets packed in the summer considering the parking area. Probably not as many bikes as some other places though, eg Pool. There's a load of chippy and burger huts there and one even lets you use a china mug :D

Can be a bit quiet this time of year but we went about a month ago and it was still quite bussy. You still get a few down there on sunny winter Sundays though.

We go quite a lot and sometimes meet at there for a coffee before a ride or even just go there to have a bit of lunch. Axminster to Bridport/Westbay then to Lyme Regis, go towards Seaton and turn of back towards Axminster is a good little run just to clear the cobwebs. The roundabout in the middle that goes to Bridport, Axminster, Lyme, and Charmouth (Charmouth Roundabout) is ace and you could go around there all day. :D

Deffinatly worth the trip and if you want to go sometime give me a pm.

Oh yeh, they do charge bikes for parking but a lot of people don't bother, it's only 20p though. That's the tight Dorset Council for you!

Anyhow, check it out. :D

West bay is the only real place I can really get to on me scooter and I was gonna go last ride out but was busy. If anyone goes again I will be happy to meet down there if I am not working.

Worth the ride and visit......specially on a dry Sunday when you pretty much get a constant flow of bikes to and from......hot cuppa, decent burgers and brouse the machines......

Any locals going to Cresent next Saturday to see Chris Stalker....?

Used to live in Bridport and went there all the time. Always a brilliant atmosphere and in the summer lots of other bikers to chat too.
Try to pop down there at some point and you'll enjoy it.
