No wonder they hate us!!

Post by Blimey »

Has anyone else noticed since having a few days of sun shine its brought out the biggest retards on bikes i have ever witnessed.

Being on the road all day i get to see some shocking riding but this year the fairweather riders have come out with this aggression.

My wife was driving us through Paris st in town on Sunday when this blue and white Srad (no not Nick) pulled out behind us onto roundabout going up through Paris st next thing he is calling us W*nkers and beeping his horn waving his fists cause she is driving 30mph in a 30mph. The only thing i could see that could of upset him. He was in a hurry and so bleedin angry. Embarrasing  Everyone looking at us

But everywhere i can see them. Agressive filtering and start, stop agressive acelerarting. Making loads of noise like animals.

Then shouting the odds at anyone for no reason. Some bloke on a Bandit kicked a car door cause the car beeped his horn at him after the Bandit cut the car up on Exe bridge.

Its crazy out there. Whats going on

NO WONDER THEY HATE US.

lol, I find them alot on the way home from work mate, screaming at 14,000 rpm in second until they get within a 200 yards of a corner and then they slow, I don't ride slow going to and from work but I do try and keep it smooth, it's amazing how much quicker the smoother riding is compaired to some riders out there.

its not the noisy, antisocial ones you want to worry about - its the ones who ride round looking like an explosion in a toothpase factory, being polite to everyone, take their lids off in petrol stations and being generally considerate to other road users that give proper bikers a bad name  damned motorcyclists....

funny you say this

this night i was at a junctions thats pretty blind, in the car, looked up saw the head light a ways off, and thought, i'll wait, then 1 second later that head light is zooming past me, must be doing 40-50 right into the main street, which is pretty small, and people can just walk out

totaly [idiot], the kid was on a 50 with L's, i thought to my self, i've lost mates that ride like him

people need to chill the fook out!!

Some car drivers just don't see bikers. I followed some old dude in a Ford Fiesta the other day that didn't have a rear view mirror!! I bet he's been doing it for years, yet he didn't move over considerately when there was enough room to overtake and was just randomly slowing down. I was on the outside of the left hand lane ready to overtake and as he slowed down again I went passed him without accelerating!

I flipped up my visor and gave him the stare

I hear what Blimey's saying about bikers at the moment though. Bunch of w@nkers. Maybe not riding your bike for a while is like not getting any sex over the winter. Then when you get it you go crazy, like it might be the last time or something... Maybe. I dunno. *Shrugs*

the other day I was picking up my kids from school and this biker on his green kawasaki (I didn't have enough time to see which one) was doing much more than 30mph which is stupid at this time of the day (3.30pm), he could have run over a kid or two. I was furious ! especially when it's signposted that there's a school in the area ! this is exactly the attitude that makes people hate bikers.

Firstly I'm not condoning the riders actions & using excess speed near a school is obviously stupid, but how come it's always the motorist/rider's fault when someone gets knocked down/injured? When did pedestrians stop taking responsibilty for their actions?
I'm now old enough  to remember the ad's on tv about looking up & down the road, not crossing between parked cars or not running out into the road. There hasn't been any road safety ad's on TV (other than the anti car/speed propaganda) for years, at least a decade. As I understand it there's no road safety talk in schools any more either, you know, when the police used to come in & give a chat to the kids for about an hour (or am I really that old? ). How are people (especially children) supposed to know the dangers of the road environment if they're not taught/shown?

Only recently have we seen the revival of the look out for bikes ad, but it's hardly enough is it?

Like I said, I'm not condoning what the rider was doing, but I think it's time that people took more responsibilty for their actions, both in/on their vehicles & on foot.

Yes we have to remember when we are walking on the road we are responsible for our actions and should teach our children the same, I know from experience, Take for example a few years ago road protestors on a narrow dual carriage way at night walking along where trucks and cars where passing in camouflage and dark green jacket, Now we are all responsible for our actions Speed limits outside schools are there for a reason, anyone breaking them should have the book thrown at them, but some limits beat me
50mph on the Barnstaple /braunton dual carriageway, as barny has a test centre surely that should be used to show that a driver is ca[pable of driving at 70 on a dual carriageway,
