ok, i know he was riding like a cock, but take a look at the punnishment - does it fit the crime and would they do the same to a car driver ?????

banned for 2 years seems abit crazy especially with the jail sentance aswell :x

I found this abit funny
pulling on his front brake at more than 60mph to make his bike skid across the carriageway, leaving black thick rubber tyre marks in the road

Sorry but he deserves all he got.......................... & more!

It's not just himself he puts at risk but every other road user around him.
Lost count of the number I've seen lose it trying to ride like a stunt rider on the roads

I am afraid got what he deserved gets my vote, powerslides at 70 on the road???? it does not give bikers a good name, and adds more fuel to the antibike campaigners case,

Was being a right twat, but jail? Banning fine, but with jails all ready over full seems abit over the top :?

If his pockets had been full of bags of skunk or wraps of Charlie he'd have got a community service order and a £75 fine...

To be fair, I think if he'd been a chav in a Saxo/206/207 doing burnouts and donut's he'd have got similar punishment :?

As ever, it is very clear that speeding is a far worse crime than mugging and drug dealing now

A fair punishment I reckon. If you're gonna ride like a prat on the public highway, then you can't complain when the law takes a dim view.
If you want an example of over the top then take a look at this kangaroo court decision
http://www.dcsafetycameras.org/news/new ... llion.aspx
Basically a case of 'we can't prove who was driving, so we've decided you're both guilty'!!! Even the prosecuting lawyer says that they can't be sure who's driving!!! :(
So we now have a judicial system that will convict on the basis of 'we think you did it' with no solid evidence. A worrying state of affairs & not too far away from a police state

VTR - far more worrying  Basically, you are guilty unless able to prove your innocence ..... or guilty for failing to incriminate someone else

I would have thought they would just prosecute her as owner of the vehicle and failing to ensure who was driving :? A Supervisor at work came very close to getting points on is licence for a pick-up caught speeding without anyone having filled in the log book - even though he could prove he himself was at home in bed at the time

Personally, I feel he got what he deserved. Acting like a prat and with the fake plate too.

ok, the guys behaving like a pr att, but prison? I think a two year ban & hefty fine would have been enough to [censored] up his life for this horrendous crime where nobody died or was even injured & realisticly where the only person likely to really have been seriously injured would have been himself.

"Stoddard was videoed doing wheelies and "power slides", pulling on his front brake at more than 60mph to make his bike skid across the carriageway, leaving black thick rubber tyre marks in the road"

And could you please tell which one of you enjoys pulling your front brake to leave skid marks at 60mph?

"Where any motorist deliberately and intentionally puts themselves and other road users at danger, they can expect to be dealt with robustly, as these motorcyclists have discovered."

And I have no problem with these dickheads in a uniforms protecting other road users, but I don't need protecting from myself, I am well aware of the dangers of riding a bike however I feel I wont to ride it. :D

In 2006 I got caught doing 126mph in a car. I received 5 points & £270 fine... kept the car and license.....

The guy didn't kill anyone so IMO prison is way over the top... make him do community service and help his local community not ruin his life for the sake of a wheelie and a powerslide.

Its seems like they try and make a point with every motorcycle based prosecution lately...
