Woohoo, I didnt crash Started off very slow with zero faith in the tyres and ended up just slow with barely any faith in the tyres Did get embarrassing when the one legged man on a unicycle lapped me.
Kelly got some good photos too, I've photoshopped some motion blur on mine so they appear faster.
awesome pictures again well done Kelly and thankyou for tea friday night and thanks to all from swb for making it a cracking day
Thanks Alan, & Mark for the tuition on track helped me big time with that damned left turn
was an awesome day.
thanks to ben for doing the driving..and don't worry about the 'rash' it should clear up after about a week
had a cracking couple of sessions and one bad one and i must remember to bring more fuel next time
bike went well and continued it's habit of shedding bolts
some of the sessions were a bit manic especially into the hairpin (5 abreast) but my brakes came to the rescue on many an occasion
and well done ben for winding up vfr boy
a great day made better by the swb mob.
ps. and thanks to the pb gang for running a superb day.
Had an absolutley ace day, most fun ive had on a bike EVER! Even if i did end up cutting the last session short for everyone, sorry bout that, was that bloody left hander!
And cheers colin for finding us that space, much appreciated!
It was an awesome day.............I felt like Rossi, hanging off the bike, unfortunately photo's along with video evidence, show me sitting bolt upright like I was re-taking my CBT. Gaz a few pointers please!!!
There were a few hairy moments (had to be for me) 2 were into the hairpin, the first, I got into it to hot, after overtaking down the main straight. The second was when I missed a gear and I really felt like a bowling ball at a skittle match. I have to say the bike is just so much better than me, the brakes and the awareness of other riders saved me on more than one occasion. Had another moment into ambulance corner (the old hairpin) when I locked the back up by going down one too many gears. And the real buttock clencher was into the kink.........thank god the track was wide on the exit.
To all that went.......thanks for making my first trip to Pembray so memorable.
Here are a few grainy videos......you may spot yourself!!
thanks to pb for organising a great day and as per great company, first time knee down on the old hairpin and by the last session was hitting it every lap, look foward to the next one, working on the other half getting a better job to fund my new found love
Big shout to Chris K5 for giving me and the r1 a lift up there again!! you are a legend.
I really enjoyed the whole day weather behaved and the company on and off the track was great. Managed to slowly improve throughout the day and was totally shattered by the end.
Thanks to all you swb guys who went it was a blast. Always a pleasure love you all
Big shout for my dad who managed to get into the fast group on his maiden track day!! its not all true what say about him he must have big balls and a little willy.
