day five/six
48 hours of rain 200 miles in it and my feet hands and balls are soaked. rode down beside loch ness to the west coast to get some sun slight detour on a ferry to islay to check out the whiskey festival! needed somewhere to dry all our clothes and booked into a b and b for one night. landladys sister died of ms aged 45 so she is fundraising for us tonight and doing are laundry! ferry back to mainland at 3 but i might stay ha ha bye

fantastic day on islay in sunshine to recoup from the drenching we had. back on mainland and hope to hit glasgow before dark
another embarasing moment the c90 fell of the stand

sounds like an awesome trip, its the low points that you remember afterwards as the best experiences. More pictures needed!

day seven
rode though a thunderstorm last night ran out of fuel lucky we had a jerry can . glasgow subburbs a wee bit rough so we rode on in the dark and pitched the tent up at the side of the road . relly went for it today and at shrewsbury did 20miles on the motorway slipstreaming lorries at 60 ha ha great fun passing all the tin cans in towns lookinf to be back sat sun see ya

made it back home . very knackered so going to chill out and have a early night bye

Got back late saturday and had a fantastic experience - strongly recommend it to anyone.
It's been fairly tough - camping and riding in the freezing cold and the rain for 48 hours non-stop until you feel like a frog - but when the sun comes out & strangers are really helpful and supportive, you forget all that.
Reckon we have raised about £2500 for Multikple Sclerosis - won't know exact figure for a few weeks or so, until we have collected everything in.
Some pics of the journey - did'nt take many as camera is crap!
Got here late evening & they take the sign away at night to stop peeps pinching it!!

The fuel stops were every 80 miles - the tank only holds about 3 litres - about a £5 for both tanks each time we stopped - a pain in the arse as the tank is under the hinged seat & so we had to unpack every time we stopped.
Stopped for prayers on Sunday
- Actually, the first person who can tell me where this was taken gets a free pint!
No pints for this one - we could'nt park in front of Edinburgh Castle as they were putting up seating for the Military Tattoo. Not sure why the Scots are flying the Union Jack - Perhaps they worked out they get more tourists that way...
After we were completely soaked to the bone, we decided to go for 1 nights B&B to dry out - this woman - Andrea - was remarkeable - we stumbled across her quite by chance, her sister (aged 45) had MS and recently had died as a result. Andrea gave us a free stay and dried our clothes, leathers, boots etc and raised another £50 for us whilst we were there.
YEEHARRRRRRRRRRRRR - made it
Double Proof - colour co-ordinated - I bought my oversuit about 2 months ago, Chris bought his a few weeks ago and neither of us knew until it first rained.
There have been lots of strange coincidences and meetings along the route & I still cant quite work out why.
The C90's were strong workhorses - a pain going up hill - about 25 mph but down hill with the wind behind and in a lorry's slip-stream they would max out at 55
People ask me if I would do it again - YES, YES, YES
on the C90? NO NO NO
