what kind of cover is it ? fully comp ? tp or tpft ?

is it garaged? parked off road ? driveway ?

it might come down to your age and he tpoints, in which case use the money for a bus pass and a rail card insteaad :D

try doing a website compare thing without pints just to see if it changes.

My daughter (Clean licence mind ) had a 52 plate 1.3 ford Ka and with me as a named driver cost her £780 f/comp 1 year on she is now driving a fiesta 1.4 deisel on a 59 plate and is only paying £400 f/comp.
1st insurance was with AA

when i was 17 the cheapest I could get on my 1l classic mini was £600 through tesco and now because it has had stupid amounts of money spent on it its done through Adrian Flux on a classic mini limited miles scheme but is still £400 4 years on!

bit of a random one but try marks and spencer my ex insured through them and they were alot cheaper than the common ones like quinn and tesco

being 17 and 3 points. Your gonna be loaded plus you will only find a small pool of insurers will touch you.
Keep trying big brokers like swinton and hope someone has a special deal with someone on their books.

othewise sell the car and use the bus.

A mate and me were talking about the same subject this morning and how expensive it is for kids these days, but then if we are on 60% discount with max no claims you can start to realise as a 17 year old, no ncb and your points your gonna strugle to find much below 2k. Sorry to bearer of bad news.

I can remember paying £3-400 to insure my bikes 25+ years ago, and £400 car insurance bills (but we were talking Yank V8's then  ) all TPF&T

Wankey mate, try sending Graham22 a PM - he may not be able to help directly, but may have some pointers to save some money - he's in the business if I remember correctly
