Hi There guys, where abouts are you in Normandy? Would be awesome to pop by, if time, routes etc allow. Be great to meet some fellow swb's out there.

:-bd \m/

Near Alencon, if you look it up, 15 minutes from there.

To check other details on riding in France have a look at BCFR site.

Reflective jacket not required, Breathalyser yes, but there is no fine if you don't, typical French.
For bikes, breathaliser No, they have delayed implementation (for bikes at least) and carrying breathalisers on bikes is NOT required .....

Nice to finally see in writing that HV Vests & Triangles are not required for bikes. Interestingly they don't make mention of the need to carry spare light bulbs, either ....

Not sure if the ferry would charge for the extra length.

OH HECK!!!! Suppose it is... Right, I did say I'd try and arrange a pub meet before we head off. errrrr. I'm all busy this next week, mega stacked out (does this round about ever stop) Any body want to rally up to Tivy services M5 Jnct27 for any last minute questions requests offers etc. I'll be there at 1900hrs.
In the mean time, hope every one is looking forward and has there plans for either riding up to Poole Thurs morn or Wed eve and staying B&B.

Don't care who you are, how much you have, how powerful you are. You still sit on the toilet with your pants around your ankles. Yep, it's a level playing field..

They can charge what they like, the French wouldn't allow it off on their shores, not enough reflective panels, too powerfull and I bet there's a speed radar detector hiding in there somewhere :))

19.00 when? I've litterally just walked in the door and logged on to pick up e-mails, etc., ...... a little more than -5mins notice would be appreciated seeing as J27 is about 30mins away ........

I can do tomorrow or weds after about 20.00, thurs anytime, and Friday after about 17.00 ...... at present, but subject to change at short notice ......
