Jug is working on a new route to the Neuadd from Chard - looking forward to seeing that.

Saturday ride out - usual route or something new?

This is what I'm proposing for the ride up & over.

185 miles total and 4 hours 8 mins riding time (according to Garmin).

I rode the first part of this route last year and looking at my tack log it was 2 hours 15 mins to the bridge from Ilminster services.
What do you think Brian?

I like the Langport/Othery bends
A39 is a pain going through Glastonbury and Wells
Going by the racecourse skirts the horrors of Bath quite well
Skimming past Abergavenny to get to Crickhowell bvia Gilwern and the A4077 is a nice change
From Brecon the A470/A4215 to Defynnig and A4067 to Abercraf is gorgeous
The route then to Brynammen is a nightmare but there is no reasonable alternative
The A4069 Black Moumtain Pass is stunning but the 40mph limit there is heavily policed so be aware...
The run up to the Neuadd via Llandovery is a good finish

Question is what time at Ilminster services? It's 50 miles, an hour and a quarter from my gaff.
