Sorry guys but there is some total testicles being spouted here and someone will end up getting nabbed if they believe it. Here is a link to the real information (skip straight to Annex E)

http://www.dft.gov.uk/stellent/groups/d ... c#B000001F

Important points: (1) You can be done fo a loud exhaust even if it is stamped the officer only has to testify that it is louder than an equivalent motorcycle with original equipment fitted. (2) If you stamp an illegal pipe with BS numbers the officer can also prosecute you for "perverting the course of justice" - you can go to jail.

Furry - don't bother with a 5,000 word response please...

cans

...hence the reason why I took the false BS stamp off my second hand Micron can.
Ive ordered a Blue Flame can now which is road legal with removable baffles. Seems the way to go me thinks

that makes sense I wouldnt stamp a race can with a BS stamp. Whilst you might be able to pull the wool over a car traffic coppers eyes - Police Motorcyclists arent that stupid that they cant work out whats a falsely stamped race can.

To MOT your bike just spend 10 mins temporarilly putting the standard can back on - its no hassle.

Bla Bla Bla...

Fact of the matter, I've been pulled 3 times, they see the BS stamp, carry on checking the bike, then let me on my way...

Doesn't matter what type of copper they are, if you don't take the piss, neither will they, and yes Traffic cops be it on Bikes or Cars are alot more switched on, but if they can tell your switched on as well they will give you an easy time and let you on your way, if your being a prick, then expect them to give you some grief...

Perfect example, friend of mine did a 60mph wheelie past an un-marked Lexus in a 40, then tried to race it off of the roundabout.... Got off with a ?G30 fine oh and they called him a "Twat" LOL but on the whole he's a bleady good biker and they can tell that, they ain't stupid, and they ain't out to get everyone, you make their life easy then no problems, and a BS stamp does that :)

Never had that problem when i was young on the FS1E. Bloody things used to shoot out the back when the screw rusted out. Still sounded sh*t.

I have no problems with loud exhausts, only with people talking testicles. ... just checked ... perverting the course of justice carries a maximum life sentence so you can throw yourself on the mercy of the 'bike loving courts  ... reckon you'd be better off forging the EC stamp instead... that only carries ?5,000 fine or 3 months jail  across the whole of Europe... although that's probably not a problem if you just ride to work eh lads!

Still, I know that with certain individual's vast experience of life they'll know that, for example Welsh, Austrian or east european cops are always dead easy going!

Just keep the race can, pay the 30 quid fine if busted but don't try the funny plates eh?

I fitted a carbon scorpian race can to my gixer, loud as fook but never had a problem with plod as i just whip the clutch in as i see old bill.

Picked up a plate from ebay with the bs mark/E11 and stuck it on but have never had the chance to prove it yet

<<< Worships Griff :D

Got Scorp's on the TL, people think they ain't nothing special as others like Blue flame cost more etc but they are loud as feeeeeeek

Anyway race cans save lives, they might be able to say SDSYM (Sorry Didn't See You m8) but least they can't say they didn't hear you ;)

Got Mine All marked up today, so thats one less job to do, still planning to get the TL done tomorrow to come to the swb bike meet but ain't promising anything as at the moment things keep getting delayed
