So far I have tried to resist posting on this thread, as threads like theses realy aren't "healthy" for maintaining good relationships between users. But that said, I have to ask FJSrider this one question.......
If as you imply, the actions of these particular sportsbike riders put your safety at risk, (in your oppinion) and later you were able to pass them while filtering through traffic..........then why the hell didn't you stop and tell THEM the error of thier ways?
Surely that would have had the desired effect??

1. I'm not a police officer.
2. I would be putting myself in potential danger if I stopped in between lines of traffic.
3. Why do you think would they listen to me?
4. I'm having more effect on more people by starting a discussion here anyway.

Re: Out on your ego props this afternoon?
you think you had a bad day? i was happily driving along in my car this afternoon when some mypoic old bugger in a mobile bathtub nearly got himself killed filtering on the approach to a junction. i think he was too busy listening to radio 4 and relying on his "years of motorcycling experience" to pay much attention to the fact that i was about to turn right on him without indicating.FJSRiDER wrote:There were some right sad sportsbike poseurs out there today. You may think your are being funny and blasting past other bikes with a few inches spare. But you are not.
Other road users may not see you coming.
Some of you really need to grow up....
...and learn to filter - you looked right sad sitting there while I went past you in the traffic.
gsx-aaaaaaaargh!!!

So this wasn't dangerous then??
Last one was on the A369 Exebridge to Wheddon Cross where I burst a dog while chasing my mate on an RD400 with my one-day-old LC.
70ish, pegs nearly down, following his tail light in the dusk, I recall seeing the eyes of the animal glinting in the headlight before a sky, ground, sky, ground, sky, ground, hedge moment.
Totalled the LC, and was covered in blood and entrails from the damn dog. I wish it hadn't died - so I could have kicked the bas-tard to death.
That was in '83 or '84 (over 20 years ago! ) and despite riding all year round since then I have managed to avoid coming off again.

1. really
2. you could have stopped next to them when they were queueing behind the traffic
3. i don't think they would have had much choice!
4. really, you're not. the only effect you're having on most people here, is sheer annoyance.
In your original post it really did seem to me, and others, like you were pointing the finger at people from here. if thats not the case, let us know and we'll just put it down to bad wording.
Missing 2 wheels : (
So why should another road user care about what I have to say?Mark-Blade wrote:So ???FJSRiDER wrote:Why should I?

Yes. Why stop in traffic that is only likely to move off?Mark-Blade wrote:Instaed of filtering through ???FJSRiDER wrote:2. I would be putting myself in potential danger if I stopped in between lines of traffic.
Indeed. But they might as well have made moronic comments about spazz bathtubs as some of the cretins on here alread have.Mark-Blade wrote:They might have ??FJSRiDER wrote:3. Why do you think would they listen to me?
Do you? You posed a question and replied to my response. It is having some effect.Mark-Blade wrote:I doubt that ??FJSRiDER wrote:4. I'm having more effect on more people by starting a discussion here anyway.

You misunderstand my point, in fact you misunderstand ever ones point, you cant change every ones views. You have your opinion, you have said your piece, by reacting to every ones views your getting their backs up and basically plss**g every one off. If they want to ride to within a inch of their lives then so be it. Stop trying to put the world to right. Oh and I don’t give a flying F**k if you dont want to ride with me. Their are plenty that will and do.FJSRiDER wrote:Don't flatter yourself - do you think I'd really want to go on a 'ride out' with you?SNIFFALOT wrote:FJSRiDER How long you been on this site, are you expecting people to get on with you at the ride outs. But I have pointed no 'finger' at anyone on here - although several on here think it is fine to have a go at me. I presume this is because they are a bit simple and find reading difficult.
