Riding 27 years

25 of those years all weather all year around before I cam down here.

I'm guessing that's a hell of a lot longer than you, but I cannot be siure because you won't answer my question.

How long have you actually been riding bikes :D

Come on Blue

Cat got yer toungue

Oh, he's logged off.

Guess he's realised that however many winters he's ridden through, he's going to have to ride through a hell of a lot more to catch up with me 8)

Good night all.

This was fun,

Jesus christ. Andy, why do you feel it nessasary to try and prove that you are superior to everyone??

Tell me, what defines a proper biker then??

Someone who has ridden for a good number of years, someone who is a skilled rider, someone who for them is there only form of transport?
I'm intrigued.

Why you feel the need to put a downer on a new rider, after her first rideout? Does it make you feel big, satisfy your buldging ego?
I've been riding 27 years I'm instantly better than you. At the end of the day someone is always faster/safer, rode longer than you, so why come across like you are better than everyone?
I guess thats why some people don't last that long on bikes, meet people with attitudes like you.

Steve, 18 Riding for just over 2 years and loved every second of it (except when my bikes broken)

It's rather sad that you hold so much importance purely in the years spent with a motorcycle licence over anything else bike related. It appears to be consuming your world. There there little man, someone out there will care and be impressed...never mind now, wipe your tears, there's always tomorrow.

riding 27 years eh? what do you want, a medal? getting on at someone because they've got less biking experience than you goes against the whole point of being in a social biking scene, you were new once too, or did you pop out of the womb with a bike between your legs?

webster, age 26, riding since may 2008, got taken out septemeber 2008, can't wait to get back on a bike. yes i did direct access, if you don't like it, well, you can suck it for all i care.

Or a complete knob.

Whichever it is, I doubt anyone will want to be anywhere near the bloke, congrats on isolating yourself from any future rideouts

Is there anyone on this forum who can address points they take issue with, and respond without resorting to childish name calling.

I somehow think not
There are and they have been replying to your views and comments both a polite and informative manner. Strangly enough tho you seem to ignore these posts and instead only pick up on the posts that you can abuse and wind up. I notice your fondness for pm usage but for some reason have failed to reply to mine.

I think we had a discussion about what makes a biker some time ago in the forums and if memory serves me correctly it was sort of universal that a lot was down to your attitude and the way you interact with your fellow riders that determined your status in others eyes and not experience or what you ride so if that is the case Andyarse is in fact NOT a biker and so therefore whats he doing posting on a subject he knows so little about, definately getting bored reading his testicles now............

PS inevitably in any bunch of Roses there will allways be a prick or two :) :)

  Thats what i call a reply. Proof in the pudding

I wouldn't go as far as saying your crap Nick, your just a bit more adventerous then the rest of us.

Like to mix green laneing with tarmac

Got to admit i do like this Andys style, feels he has a point and is very strong minded. I do feel he hasn't really got the stats to prove his theory is right though unless he can prove hard evidence. I'm sure there are plenty on here who could prove his thoery is wrong and know of plenty of female bikers who have continued way past 3 years and are not just doing it for the fashion parade police.

On the other hand he could be attention seeking and likes the attention weather its negative or postive its all good.

I just like to say welcome to SWB and good luck with making lots of friends dude.

Freedom of speach and all :? :?

blue asked me how long I had been riding.

I answered the question.

I certainly never used the words "proper biker" or even that my experience makes me a better rider than anyone else.

If anyone would care to show me where I said so, please feel free

Having just gone back over your posts you constantly refer to how long you've been riding... here's one instance...
andyals wrote: Two major accidents in 27 years of riding, and I've got the metal work screwed into my leg and back to prove it.
Still didn't stop me riding.
And this...

Sorry if I and everyone else perceived that as you are a 'Riding God', but that's certainly how it came across.
