I ain't no qualified mech like age but I am in Bristol on wed 8th for the night if you want me to have a gander at it. The engine was siezed and to make it work again was pretty dam good, and it is probably better than when i first had it, hats off Andrew, cheers buddy

The engine was siezed and to make it work again was pretty dam good, and it is probably better than when i first had it, hats off Andrew, cheers buddy
) We will be taking it for a proper test ride on sunday so look out for georgie-d returning to a rideout near u in february 
Sorry speedy, tied up with work and all that crap, plus been off line for a while, Got the bike sorted in the end, had a last dashed attempt at changing all the cables (batery to solinoid and solinoid to starter) pressed the button and yehaa im cooking on gas!! Tightened the chain up and took her out for a good well earned spin. Chuffed to bits. quick polish and now she is ready (just in time for the big freeze!!!!!) Thanks again to andy for all the advice and particular thanks to speedy for the offer of help, very much appreciated (as I was starting to let the thing get to me), it just perks you up a bit when guys on the forum, you have never met go out their way to offer assistance. Great stuff. aidy - to save u spending any more money I would suggest testing the solenoid with a multimeter.
If u don't know how to use the meter tho then try and change the starter solenoid with one u know that works - if that still doesn't work let me know and i'll come up with some more ideas. Also i will try and have a look at my GPX manual tonight and see if I can spot anything else in the wiring diagram that could be at fault.

- besides which u know just as much (if not more) about bikes than i do mate.if you ever need a hand mate just let me know. i will always try to help if i can just not sure I want the resposibility for rebuilding another engine.
