Hi folks
I would of loved to have joined in 1 of the ride outs tomorrow, rain or shine.
But unfortunately I was taken off my bike in marsh Barton Exeter on the 14th July, by a silly women who decided to pull out when I was a few meters behind and do a u turn right n front of me. Hand is in plaster, and a painful shoulder injury which I’m hoping won’t take to long to heal. The most gutting thing for me is the fact my bike has only done 800 miles & was going to be my last new bike as a keeper. I do hope they right it off as I don’t want it back.
Have a good & safe ride, be aware of the idiots out & about.
Mark
P.s sorry to hi-jack the post.

Sorry to hear that mate. Hope you got some witnesses and consult a proper solicitor who is motorcycle savvy. Your injuries should be compensated for fully, bearing in mind that the problems caused by accidents can go on for years. Doesn't seem to take much to write any vehicle off now, as the cost of parts seem to be very steep.
Main thing is that you recover quickly and get another bike, be it a new one or something you've fancied if it's gonna be your last

Yes - It's not nice to be taken out almost without any warning. Hope you repair well Mark.

Gutted for you Mark, I'm quite fond of the GSX-X-1000's, especially the latest one.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Really sorry to hear about the accident Mark. Not great news at all hope you get well soon. At least your still with us the bike and be repaired or replaced. Hate to say it but the standard of driving for most people is shocking and they just don't look.

Get well soon

GWS (Get Well Soon) Mark.

Unfortunately, as Andy said, most injuries are likely to have a long term effect so make sure you don't get fobbed off and are fully compensated. That said, from your brief description this incident is likely to be called 50/50 - they'll likely claim you shouldn't have been so close.
