Anyone else have Nitrogen?

I have had my tyres filled with nitrogen at AMS Tyres in Paignton. does anyone else have the same?
the reasoning is that it doesn't 'leak' through the tyre like air so the pressures are maintained. ( I can vouch for that one. 2 months and pressures not moved)
Alo because it doesn' expand like air when hot the tyre shape remains the same throughout. ( Cant ride well enough to test that one out although I do feel more confident, but that may not be the tyres)

I have 79% nitrogen in mine

Me 2. Haven't got it in mine because if you had to top up for some reason you'd just get the same crap in there. And how do they put 100% nitrogen in there anyway seeing as theres air in the tyre when fitted?

Thats not true, you cant change the laws of physics
PV=nRT so pressure is directly proportional to temp - for all gases.
IMO nitrogen is a gimick - theres 79% of it in your tyre as standard!

Depends on the curry.

But seeing as the thread was about Nitrogen thought i'd just follow along.

Nitrogen tyre filling comes from racing... As under extreme use it gives a smaller tollerance/error of pressure over time...(loss of gas, temp changes bla bla bla)
Agreed for us road users it's overkill, and uneeded!
Spend ya money on Ultraseal instead, better investment

Don't want to get too technical here... particularly as I tend to agree with stt that it's a gimick... however the science isn't quite so straightforward... as I understand it, it's actually about losing the possibility of water vapour being generated and has a bit to do with latent heat losses, entropy and enthalpy... basically as air contains both oxygen and hydrogen they can combine to form water vapour in a tyre; the point at which this change occurs or reverses can lead to unhelpful blips in the pressure/tempature relationships.
OK anyone still awake?

Bloody good technical post like that and I spell both GIMMICK and TEMPERATURE incorrectly. Doh!
