Went for a blast this afternoon and got 4 miles and the chain snaped

The problem is it wrapped it self around the front sprocket and broke the crank case

Looks very much like a new motor is the only fix


A big thanks to Mark the manager at Italian motor cycles of crediton who opened up on sunday afternoon

Looks very much like the monster is going to get a good thrashing now.

ouch, sounds expensive!!! a snapped chain makes hell of a mess!! smashed undertray and lock to bits on my 400 when it happened!!

You must be gutted mate, I know I would be.
Cant you get a replacement crankcase ? If not then a 2nd hand motor ?

Take the monster motor and put it in the 996. You'll have the slowest 996 in the country
