I was doing 78 in a 60 (I'm sure there was a good reason for it!) and got three points and a £60 fine.

Ahh that's answered my question then ... was wondering about 85-90 in a 70 ... seeing as I didn't spot the scamera van at Plympton until too late on my way to the Eden Project yesterday ... shortly before the trim down the side of my car decided to bounce down the road  Might turn out to have been an expensive day then

It's all down the discretion of the person behind the print out/screen - I got an SP30 for 36mph in a 30mph zone!!

minimum requirement is 10% plus 3 so you were very unlucky danny...

must have been a slow day cause they usually only do the worst offenders or top %age of those caught.

i would expect sp30, 3 pts and £60 for this mate...

or they may not be able to prove it... :P

or alternatively try the "i was not cautioned at the time of the offence" trick when you recieve the NIP.

Ahhhh the old loophole ;) heard about that in RIDE magazine!

If I only knew about that at the time... was riding to a bikenight, speed camera just coming out of Babbacoombe towards torquay (Shrouded by overgrown hedges!)

Warning by the way, to people using that route - it's live, and it doesn't listen to pleas :|

it wasnt actually me who got caught it was a mate of mine. if he gets any more points he will be banned and also loose his livelyhood so i will be taking the points for him.

Blimey, I wouldn't even take my wife's points (mind you it was her first penalty so she was in no danger of getting banned!).
