I'm not sure but I think Maver Nick is thinking of getting one so he may well have ridden one as well.

Nice bike !
Nice?

Much better than "nice".
Thank you though.

Erm...
I did start at SP, but...
Red Dog in Kent found me a silver one, so I bought her from Red Dog.
Yeah, I know, I'm not really up to an MV Brutale, the bike is really wasted on someone who rides like me and parking her really will be an embarrassment (though I am practicing

), but I couldn't help myself.
As for what I think. Beautiful, desirable, sharp, twitchy, turns very quickly, not a novice ride, unforgiving, needs the width of a football pitch to u-turn, responsive, hard suspension...
Who cares? This is an MV....
I allowed WezC a little ride and his opinion was 'they've taken a rocket and strapped it to a scooter.'!
Oh dear.
However, MV are more than just the Brutale, so maybe you were asking about a different MV.

My brother bought one from Red Dog in Kent as well. It's a red and silver F4 1000. Sounds the nuts and when it goes passed me when I'm doing 80mph on my NC30 it sounds gorgeous. *Swooon*
It looks big close up but when it goes round corners it looks like a 250! My bro won't let me ride it funnily enough...

Are MV Agusta owners allowed to be a smug as Ducati owners?

What do Ducati owners have to be smug about?
I think SP1 owners have more reason to be smug than Ducati owners.
Though I'd personally make an exception for owners of Tamborini designed Ducatis.

Why Tamborini

Ing. Taglioni was the man behind the Desmo

Which MV are you thinking about?
Your nearest dealership will be SP in Exeter, after that 3x in Ferndown. There's barely what you'd call a dealership network.
SP don't always have bikes to test-ride, but 3x normally do. The MVs are very different from the TL though. You might not like it if you test-ride one.
Parts can be difficult to get and expensive. Servicing is ridiculously expensive, 400+ quid for the first one at 600 miles, unless you can get a deal when buying new. Then it's every 6000 km, (less than 4000 miles). Not a problem in the UK, it's a hot-house flower and it's not that often sunny enough to bring out.
I don't know anything about any MV other than my Brutale though. Except that the MV Tamborini is the most beautiful and desirable bike in the world. (imho)
