Motorcycle Clubs & ACU Licence

I've checked out the ACU websites and they say to start racing you need to be a member of a motorcycle racing club before you can obtain a licence or vice versa (please correct me if I'm wrong!).

However, I've Googled it about 100 different ways and can't find any in the South West. I thought there'd at least be some in Bristol or something but they all appear to be up north and around the midlands. Any ideas? Seems a bit 'county-ist' to me

not really a local club around here mate, most clubs race at the same circuits anyway, what circuit are you thinking of locally??

yes you do need to sign up to a club before you apply for your acu as you need to get the license application stamped by the club who you are with. i know north glos will put you through the novice acu test on one of their test days at pembrey. then if u pass they send it on to the acu for you. hope this makes sense.

That's great! Think I might just attend a few of the NGRR rounds next year as a supporter to get the vibes.

Any idea if the calendar for 2007 is confirmed yet? :)
