sorry but there are notices up before you enter saying not to wear them so why moan when you ignore the sign and proceed to wear them?
if your bike was stolen and they rode to a petrol station and took their helmet off after re-fuelling, wouldnt you be happy that the cctv caught their faces on camera?

Exactly, thems the rules, so abide by them and stop being awkward.
They're not being daft by asking you to remove your lid, it actually helps both parties as Watters has said.

[censored] the rules - we dont take lids off...
do muslim women have to take burka off - no!
do shieks have to take turbans off - no!
do chavs have to take hoodies and burberry caps off - no!
so we dont take lids off.
you either boycott the place or park behind a van/truck etc so they start the pump before realising or when the start gestating at you then you leave the pump on the ground and go some where else...
alternatively to this - you just use garages that are sensible enough to mind and dont expect to start your life of crime with a fivers worth of [Censored] fuel - nobs.

Maybe instead of doing a petition saying that we can keep our lids on, you could do one saying that everyones face should be visable and that for it only to apply to bikers is discrimination and against our equal rights. That might turn more heads

sadly thats gonna do fcuk all too because most cameras are forward facing so you dont get the plates on bikes...
garages dont have a list of stolen bikes and lets face it most of them dont know the difference between a vespa and 999...
as far the police - they are far too bone idle to bother looking at cctv anf actually catching criminals...
thats if there are acutally any real traffic police left.

again - whyy should we be expected to bend to others - they make the choice to come here if they dont like then theres nothing stopping them going some where else...
when i was in egypt i had no problem taking off my shoes etc to go in to a mosque...
when i was in thailand i had no problem covering up, not showing the soles of my feet etc out of respect in a temple...
and i am sure many others have plenty more examples as well.

Ok, Ok ... You've convinced me...
I'll make it my religion to start leaving my helmet on, like the Turban wearers etc and I'll sign the petition...
And I promise to never grow up and have to leave you other 'Big Criminals' and 'Rule breakers' in 'Never Never Land'...
I must admit, I do find it hard hanging my helmet on my mirror or putting it on my seat, and as for actually getting a tissue out of the dispenser laying it on the pump and putting my helmet on there... well imagine the difficulty in that.
I'm not doing a 'Furry' here and arguing for the sake of it, both my kids have worked at petrol stations and they were told to enforce this rule it's not the assistants' fault guys... But it is your choice to cause conflict... or not

I will sign cos of the principle. If the rule applied to everyone that wouldn't be so bad but it doesn't.
As for what Nick says. Well I've worked in a petrol station. We had cars drive off without paying but not bikes. And do your kids serve muslims with their faces covered cos lets face it they're the ones blowing people up at the moment, not bikers. And people with hoddies? Your more likely to get stabbed by them than some bloke on a Goldwing.
It's about equality and we DON'T get it.
Like I said if it was the same for everyone with their faces covered I'd remove my lid in the interest of safety. BUT IT'S NOT
