Hi all

My name is Amrik and i still ride my learner CBR125R even though i have a full license now.

I have joined this site as i rode it yesterday for the first time after 5 months and absolutely loved it once again! Over the winter one of my relatives thought they could have a go on it and damaged the fairings and indicators so i have repairing it slowly.

The other reason for joining is that yesterday one of my racing pedal bikes was stolen and i am buying secruity systems and wanted people recommendations of ground anchors as there are so many on the market to choose from. Also what alarm system under £60 to go for - i don't need it for insurnace but it is for my piece of mind.

Hi I am based in Torquay and coming up to 20.
I have been considering getting a CBR 600 RR or similar next year when my license is fully de-restricted.

A good place to start for recommendations for security products is Ride magazine. They conduct tests on all sorts of stuff.

What type of CBR125 you got, is it the Honda repsol and do you live near or go near Lower Erith Road in Wellswood?

I've heard a couple good thinks about the defiant Ground anchor, just make sure your chain is off the floor though.

I have a black/silver one. Completely standard. I live in Shiphay area. I don't ride it much as i am only home for about 5 months of the year. At uni i ride a pedal bike!

I am considering a y-anchor. I can't put up the hyperlink as i have less than 10 posts!

Is the CBR60RR recommended as a good bike to step up to or is it a bit too powerful. I am after a newish bike.

If you can afford it, I'd go for it! I went from the CBR to my R6, the difference is immense, but you get used to it. I think I may have seen you about.

I bought an Oxford lock to attach to my bro's ground anchor for £30 and it lowered my insurance premium by £20. So really, the chain only cost me a tenner.

Maths is cool

Welcome to SWB :D

Why don't you get one of these to link a chain togetther rather than a normal padlock.

The boss alarm looks quite good. They are about the same price as a squire lock. I will have a look into it. I was thinking of getting a 1.0m almax 3 with it.
