well gess what. court summons for tuesday 19th june. back in march i was caut doing "78" on the dual carrigway between barnstaple and ashford. the limit is 50MPH and there weren't many cars about and the conditions were good. what do you think will happen. this was on my triumph speed four. ooo and i have no points on my licence and iv had it 4 years now. im really worried what will happen?

i did the plea guilty by post option. so you think they will do 3 points

so like same as a fixed penalty. Y do they need to do the court thing then and make me feel misarable

ive been in court a few times and never actually had to go..

More than 50% over the limit ......... I would anitciapte the points being nearer the maximum 6pts, with who knows what fine if it's at court - one thing for sure - it'll be more than 3pts / £30 or they'd have issued the fixed penalty rather than demanding your presence in court

Go to court, dressed smartly, be contrite, make sure they realise you understand the error of your lapse in judgement and your otherwise exempliary driving career, and hope for the best

Have you asked for any photographic evidence? i take it you were pinged by a roadside camera safety van as nobody came after you or was it a brightly painted yellow GATSO?

I would certainly ask for any evidence to be sent out to you, there are loopholes everywhere, gave my mate some advice couple of months back after he was pinged 70mph in a 50mph limit by roadside safety van. They dropped the case against him after he requested accident stats for the location caliberation details for the camera etc etc.

guess you just got unlucky mate, 3 of us got done along there, far quicker than your pull!!!

we just got told off and made to stand there while all the cars we had looned away from at the pottington lights drove past looking at us LOL

because we were all so close together I asked him to clarify exactly who he was going to do for the offence??? all similar coloured sports bikes, was he sure of who he had the gun on and was it that precise it could be relied upon

i have photo evidence. 3 photo's over about 100meter's. the Van was parked just after the last layaby on the grass. this was on the going into barnstaple side of the road. i didn't see the van till i came round the bend. i aint got the balls to fight it though.

Personally i would give it a go............... even with what you just said you were coming off of a bend thats usually a no no for laser detection. Also when you go o court sk to see the evidence. If its not written down that the laser was check tested, distance tested, beam was tested by being broken.

Was the operator wearing an airwave radio, which most forces now use!! If so did he have it on transmit inhibit, was other equipment in the van on transmit inhibit was his mobile phone turned off etc etc ACPO guidlines state that they should be.

Its your licence mate fight for it. As i said loads of loopholes and would love to come and help you out but i don't think work would like it too much!!

if it back fired though and they found him guilty would the fact he pleaded innocent incress the fines etc?

the old crystal breathalysers were the worst, I regularly got pulled years ago, and if the ol bill wanted to pull you in and generally give you grief just watch the reach for their radio back then, especially the one doing the test, hit transmit and the crystals changed!!!!!!!

plod I used to do some work for years ago up in london admitted to playing car snooker, ie red then a colour

and yeah you guessed every car I had since then has been white, you know what I havent been pulled in a car for years, yet my red audi got pulled religiuosly every day

i can't answer that i usually give evidence and leave but i have let you know some of the loopholes that you may want to explore. Of the times i have been to court i would say about 50% get off through some technicality. All you need to do is put some doubt in the Magistrates mind and it is not safe to convict you. Good luck
