I am getting a newish sv650s and trading my brothers scooter in. These are the two deals i have got

1) 07 SV650s Sport, registered, 500 miles, loads of tax, 18 months suzuki warranty. £4000, £170 restrictor and £1050 p/x with scooter. Insurance is £500. Total cash needed. £3650.

2) 04 Sv650s, 5000 miles, 12 month tax, 12 month mot, race can. £3400 plus £70 restrictor. Cash needed £2100 + 350 insurance= £2450

Is it worth spending £1200 to get the sv650 07 plate and with suzuki warranty? I am not sure what to do.

I'd get the sport version.

Dont waste your money. Buy a v plate R6 instaead.

Looks better, goes better, turns better and stops better. If you buy the SV though you will definitely have better shopping carrying ability.

Oh, just as an aside, I'm selling a v plate R6. Funny that innit!

personally i'd get the 07 , at least then if anything does go t1ts up on it in the next 18 months you ain't got nothing to worry about having the warranty there. plus it's newer which means it will be shinier

If you can afford the extra then spend it.
you can't take it with you and why not play with the best toys you can afford.

Thanks for the advice, I am a bit of a miser so even though i can afford the 07 plate one i would rather pay less and get something just as good! The 07 plate one is tempting, apparantley i can get it for £3800 without the scooter!

I have to sell my brothers gilera dna 50cc first as he is going to buy my bike. The dealer is not giving much for the gilera. I'll find the link sometime (it's in the for sale section.)
