Need help with brake pads

Can anyone help?
I have managed to get my puncture repaired but I had to remove the wheel myself and I also needed new brake pads which have arrived today. The problem is, my bike is here at work and I don't have the right allen keys etc. to do the brakes and if I'm honest I don't have the skills either!!

Does anyone with the right tools and expertise fancy coming over to Meshaw, near South Molton to help me get my bike bach together?

My work number is 01884 860960

Thanks in advance,
Gia :D

If i had my bike I would sorry, which is a shame as my uncle lives near south molton too :D. Your brake pads are held in by allen key bolts, not a split pin at the top?

Thanks anyway Funky.

Yes, the manual says to undo the allen key bolts?! Can't see a split pin.

yh think they have a pin with one end threaded and an allen head on it,

if you do attempt it, put a little copper slip on this thread when they're reinstalled to stop it rusting and gettin stuck in there

Would love to help but you're to far away.

I think it's good that you're asking rather than attempting it yourself if you haven't got the skills. :D

Thanks Mike, you are absolutely right. It only started as a puncture and my local tyre place will only fix it if you take the wheel out yourself. That is when I discovered I needed new pads and now I'm stuck as I don't want to put the wheel back until the break pads are replaced.

I also have the added problem of being miles from civilisation and knowledgable helpers.
