I was out and about on Sunday and ended up at Bridge, where I heard a group of buys bantering on what a real biker was.

It was all good humoured, but each had their own ideas.

Personally, if you asked me what a real biker is I wouldn't have the answer, but I know what a real biker isn't.

It's someone who dresses up according to whatever camp they subscribe too, goes out on a few sunny sundays in the Summer, and thinks that anyhing over 3000 miles a year is a lot

That'd be like me, putting on a track suit and running shoes, going for a jog around the block once a week, and calling myself an athlete

A biker is someone who enjoys riding and actually uses a bike for the purpose it was designed for

Your a biker if you own a motorbike..

A biker is someone who is interested in bikes,plain and simple !!

I may not ride as much for fun as I'd like too but I spend 5 days a week working within the bike trade,spend my spare time teaching other people to ride and then what free time I have left for biking is spent at the track. Not your idea of a biker but I live for bikes


I'd love to see you tell a member of the scorpions/hells angels that as they don't do 3000miles a year they're not bikers,wonder what they're reaction to you would be. I think we'd all have a good idea and would definetly turn up for your funeral

The guy I bought my Bandit off just had a bike because it was transport and cheaper to go to work on that taking his car.. he only did about 5 miles a day but used it everyday regardless of weather. He never rode on the weekends and never road for fun, just as transport..

Doesnt that make him not a biker?

I know a few Angels, and they are not murderers.

Waking up in the morning to find 100 angry people outside on bikes.. I mean, angry bikers..

Think you should take your own advice and watch what you say too.I know a few scorps too and know what they'd think of your attitude towards bikers

Never said they were murderers,just that I'd have a good guess at what would happen

And yes lee the bloke with your old bandit was a biker as he had a bike and rode

In my eyes my wifes also a biker,she's passed her test,rides pillion with me until she can afford her own bike and goes to all the race meetings with me plus she puts up with all my bike pics and trackdays

Each to their own but noone on here will match upto statelys idea of what a biker should be

You really must learn to read the posts.

I said I know what a biker is.

I just wouldn't know how to define REAL biker

as opposed to those fake bikers that ride around..
