try riding different roads and riding with different people. You will find the varying circumstances you find yourself in will require different skill sets and your bike to do things that you don't normally ask it to do. This will increase your knowledge and understanding of the bike and what it can do rather than just making it go faster. Failing that try a track day or failing that just stick nitrus on it.

very true jim
how long have you been riding, 2months

and you think a k6 gsxr is boring
if your that good a rider you should be racing or at least track daying in the fast group.
if you want to make your bike more lively you could go out and buy
full yoshimura system
yoshimura cams
yoshi head gasket (the larger thicker model )
power commander 111
yoshi loom
change the gearing, down 2 on the front and up 4 back on the back like my old k3 had
upgarde the suspension so you can really throw the bike through the twisites

Play around with the suspension settings,it'll feel like a different bike. Not neccessarily for the better but it will be different.
Make a note of the original settings so that you can revert back after you've had enough of riding around on a bike with shite suspension.
When you've put the suspension back to it's original settings it'll feel like a new bike again. ( providing you havn't binned it in the process).

i think youve got my mates old bike and he was fairly rapid on it
the quick action throttle is always worth thinking about as would be some rearsets with the race shift setup

Yep thought it was dunc's. He was quite capable of popping the front up off the throttle without too much trouble at all
How long you been riding in general ?
Thought about going to llandow top try a different style of riding ?

Would have to agree with jimr the 600 will keep up with litre bikes in the right hands and is more than enough for the roads we have, When you say pin it and nothing happens what gear are you in

I ride a 2001 gsxr 600, during the winter i have fitted a pc111 & k&n filter (it already had an akrapovic can) this made a big difference to the bike, I also put braided lines and a gear indicator on it, its a far better bike to ride now and the front lifts in first no probs
Its not cheap but i recommend the pc111
