Found a nice little letter waiting for me saying I'd been caught doing 90 on the motorway and they have video/photo evidence.

I need to identify myself as driver.

How do I request the photo evidence? For the photo album. Just put in a letter with the returned nip?

unlucky you it very unusual to get caught at that sort of speed unless it was in a restricted area (50 )

They seem to be out on the ND link this week, they were just below abbotsham roundabout weds evening , i hope i spotted em quick enough, was driving my sons Ibiza, I slowed up and saw the gun pointed at me then summat else passed in the suicide lane doing 90 i would think so hopefully the took the attention off me.I was only doing 50 when i passed plod so i am just waiting now. and my Nephew got nicked between bideford and barnstaple yesterday, the were at the top end of the bideford bound rest area,

Sent off a nice little letter stating I will comply to with the NIP and fill pout the details but in the mean time can I have a copy of the proof.

i thought it was up to the police to prove u guilty not get u to admit it.

Talk about an easy job. just send out letters telling people they did something and pay up

Must have been doing something worse that he didn't get caught for, taking the speeding fine so no one investigates further eh?

For those of you not on facebook, this is the result of my endeavors.

From that angle looks like one of those average speed cameras in yellow or those traffic managment CCTV camaras sort of position. I didn't know speed cameras on motorways were hidden and off angle? Always thought they were above you behind those overhead signs? WOW!

Going on from that, what ticks me off is the fact that the authorities will pick you up for speeding but do little about the mass bad diving on our roads today which I think can be more dangerous! To me, doing 90 on an empty stretch of road like that is rediculas to get caught for - but it is the law I guess? But what about tailgators doing 80mph+? Or those idiots who drive in low light conditions with only their side lights on? Or mr van man who is late for everything? or middle lane hoggers which cause road rage? Police need to be focusing on other bad driving not just targeting easy speeding offenses.
