Your opinion and knowledge please

Hi folks.
Coming over in late May from Australia and looking at buying a bike over there for a trip around parts of Europe. Found a bike I'm interested in at Exeter and now have started communications with the dealers.
My question is has anyone here dealt with SP Motorcycles, whats their reputation and do they have good mechanics that serviced anyone's bikes???
I'm going to have to trust them to look after the bike if I do purchase until I get there.
Glad to hear of any opinions or experiences.
Cheers, folks.

As an unbiased report, I'd say they're probably one of the "good guys" as dealers go - pretty trustworthy and reliable. No doubt other members will be along in a bit to sing their praises too - they have supplied bikes to quite a few folk on this site

for a dealer they seem to have a surprisingly good ratio of happy to upset customers

Thanks folks, very relieved to hear good reports.
Found a blk/silv '97 CBR600F on Bike Trader. I ride a '07 model and want to stick with what I know, mine's proven to be a capable mountain tourer, so I want another one. But because of the age I know I'm going to have to get it well serviced before we leave the shop, even might have to get it lowered too (we'll see).
Cheers.

My experience of SP in Exeter is they are nothing less than top guys - they set the standard that I measure all others by and I've yet to find any other that come even slightly close, other than MST [Honda] back in the 80's but they sadly past into history.

Update:
have been talking with SP M/C and have had very positive chats about bike interested in. Very exciting.
Mentioned you folks and they have mutual admiration. So far, I'm a happy chappy.....lassy, sorry.
My fingers are crossed for the next couple of days.
While I wait, been having fun studying google maps of the area for short/practice rides. (Slight concern of the new gadgets and heavy load on a new bike with new roads)
It's all very exciting.

I have not bought a bike from SP but have bought other bits there and would recommend them to anybody, They have always been helpful and freindly , I needed some oil in Exeter once and the honda i have is awkward too top up, I asked if i could borrow a funnel and the produced a pouring spout for the oil bottle FOC for me, and i only visit em once every 2 years or so i reckon
