greetings!

Hi all.
Just noticed this section so I thought I should say hi, as I'm going on this friendly ride tomorrow. Looking forward to it! I haven't done any long rides to speak of.
So I'm fairly new to biking in general. I started about a year ago with a cheap chinese 125, which I needed to get to work. After a few weeks of riding, having got used to the mechanics of it I started to really enjoy it and decided to save up for my full test. In October '11 I passed my DAS and got myself a '96 CB500. Since then I've been riding to work, riding for enjoyment and having some fun giving people lifts too!
I like going out for regular bimbles with DannyMassive whenever time permits, and as he introduced me to this forum and told me about the ride out on the 11th I thought it would be a great opportunity to meet fellow bikers and have a laugh.
I've been a chef for quite a few years now (10+ years) mainly because it was something I could do for a steady income, but I'm what you might call a bit of a nerd. I'm into techy stuff, I build my own computers, I'm good with fixing them and I've recently started getting into programming. Starting out with java, but I might move on to another language depending on how that goes.
I do tend to ramble on at times though, especially about things that pique my interest!
Hope to see some of you at the friendly ride tomorrow!
