SWB Weekender

Post by Smiler »

Who's up for a weekend away on their bike? :)):

I'm looking at maybe doing a Friday afternoon/return Sunday kind of thing, B&B at either a pub or within walking distance of drinkie/foodie establishment!

Norfolk and Shropshire are two suggestions so far...

Dates free ATM are

19th - 21st April
17th - 19th May
28th - 30th June

Hopefully avoiding school hols etc...

The idea is to get to B&B/pub on the Friday in time for food/beers...next day a rideout around the area, lunch somewhere, return to pub for more food/beers :)): then ride back on the Sunday :)): With a bit of planning you can keep off the motorways as much as possible if prefered and time allows :wink:

Can people post up if they are interested and ideally what date is prefered? :?:

Thoughts please! :D

Hmmm, interesting. 8)

The only thing possibly in my way could be revision or an assignment due in. Oh and cash monies. I carnt afford fancy pants stuff at the moment. A B&B and ride out would be great but if fancy upgrades were added I'd probably have to decline.

Totally understand Dan...I'm not looking at 5* places, I think fuel would probably be your biggest cost.

Shropshire would be easiest and less distance for most? And, having done a weekend there before I already have a rideout route! :-bd

Any ideas/suggestions welcomed btw...!

This is a good base for Shrops meet...reasonable and varied accommodation too, I've stayed here before and the food was pretty good too :)): Love the way the Landlord keeps with 'tradition' with the after hours bar for guests!
A ride to include a visit to Ironbridge....? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Iron_Bridge" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
