Hey there,

Does anyone know what would be the simplest way to connect a system to a motorcycle’s brake and indicator?(Connecting them to an external PCB..?) so that for example, the indicator switch would turn on an external light apart from the bike's lights.

are there any existing systems that are installed on motorcycles which connect to the brake etc?

are you talking spot light on the front or LED lights behind the fairings etc?

The easiest way to do that is to get a separate switch, Many bike modification sites sell them and join into the 12v feed to your existing switch (this will mean it will be protected by the fuse intended for lights/indicators) (if the lights are 'led' then no problem at all) if you are installing spot lights on BMW enduro then you may need to install a separate fuse and supply.

also, watch out that if you are fitting a light, try and fit it to the ignition circuit so you cant leave it switched on without a key.

yep double check that the ignition switches it off as little ride = stuck rides

I have a suspicion you guys are misinterpreting what he wants ......

As I read it he wants the signal from the indicator or brakelight switch to power a PCB, so I'm thinking he wants it to generate a signal for a silent/remote alarm or somesuch .......

The easiest way to get a completely independant signal from a brake operated circuit would be to replace one of the mastercylinder banjo's (front or rear) with a pressure operated switch ......
