Good evening lads and lasses! I'm a newbie rider just turned 17 (Not the loud mouthed and arrogant type

) and been riding for over a year. Hopefully you guys don't look down upon 125s too much

Anyhow, I ride a CBR125r in the beautiful Repsol color scheme. I'm looking to learn some more riding techniques and meet up with some guys that don't mind my piddly little bike (Only does 80

)

Hi ya and welcome to Swb.
Don't look down on a Bike unless sat on it.
Most of us oldies had a 125 so nothing to worry on there, besides isn't 80 faster than you are allowed to go even on a motorway - ahem
Corners are the fun zone anyway.
Dive on in.

Regarding the speed limit, yes, but some people disagree and like going up my rear

Don't say that too loudly on here or you'll get some unwanted predatory attention from some of the more unsavory members on here
On the other hand, stand your ground, you pay tax and insurance right ! Right ?
I'm sure you aren't alone in fracturing a Speed limit or two

Hi Craig!
As far as I'm aware no one on this site looks down on newbie riders, we welcome them in

. What part of Cornwall are you from and do you like reeeeeeally early mornings?
If you are up for a dawn ride to Lands End then Brekky in 'Mens-pants' ( Penzance to those of you North of the border ;) ) then check the Run to the Bun thread!
Also if it helps, I regularly head out for coffee and a bimble with a mate of mine who rides a S-Wing 125 maxi scooter thing, depending where you are I'll invite you along next time

!
Anyway welcome in and don't be shy to post, we're a friendly bunch who'll talk to anybody, .....at all......no really ......anybody!!

Ello!!! welcome!
My mrs is getting her 125 tomorrow and will be up for ride outs i have no doubt! welcome to the gang and enjoy your stay.
Badger is a cool guy i met him the other day
I loved my CBR 125R (2005 plate, Carbed) stick a micron and a stage 1 dyno kit on it with the K&N cone filter and she will fly to higher speeds
I rode mine from Worksop (Notts) to Edinburgh to then the Ace Cafe - London all on L plates, its a great comfortable bike and good on fuel as well!
And yes they are panniers and a tail pack on the bike

Nowt wrong with a good 125 - I find my Vara an excellent alternative to the Triumph for fun days on B-roads.

You don't need to get to Exeter, the Cornwall pickup is at St Austell tescos. Have a look on the thread.
