Bradninch blink and you'll miss it. Not too far from Exeter or Tiverton

I grew up there ...think its changed a bit since I was last there though, I left in 1986.

only one shop left and loads more houses built

sounds about right, there used to be loads of little shops all up the high street, including several pubs

Only 2 pubs left and the cricket club. I've lived in Bradninch for a long time and remember all the shops up the high street and even some down for street.

I left in 1987, but I used to live in Westfield. As a kid we used to play football at the small Rec at Townlands! Probably
been built on since then!
