Jumping out of gear - Yamaha FZ6

I had my trusted 2006 FZ6 for a few years now and i've almost always clutchless changed gear on the way up. Lately in 3rd or 4th it occasionally jumps out of gear (back to the previous gear) as soon as i've changed. My question is is it more likely to be the clutch that needs looking at or the gears themselves? Its done about 30K and as far as I know nothing has been changed before.
Cheers

Sounds like worn syncro,
But check chain tension and clutch adjustment first if any.

What's wrong with using a clutch lever?

Probably worn selector drum/forks due to clutchless shifting with load still on the drivetrain.

You can't actually clutch-less shift with any load on the gear train, but poorly-timed clutch-less shifts will do the selector forks and dogs no good at all. The chances are that the engagement dogs on the selector in question have been burred a bit and aren't engaging properly now, hence it jumping back down a gear. The only remedy is a stripdown and replacement. I'm pretty sure that the FZ-6 won't have a cassette gearbox so it's an engine-out and pull-it-apart jobbie. That's a pretty daunting task for the inexperienced, but with the right tools it's no big deal. You'll require a decent workshop manual, a good torque wrench for tightening the crank case bolts on reassembly, a rattle gun (or access to one) to undo front sprocket and clutch centre nuts, and a good impact driver for the countersunk screws in the bridging plates across the crank cases behind the clutch. With two people and the right kit you could do it start to finish in a weekend (presuming you have the replacement parts).
Enjoy

What oil are you using?
Better oil might help a little. But it's not a proper fix.

Why do you think they invented quick shifters?
It’s so you can do this without breaking your bike
From reading above looks like you get the joy of taking out the engine on this bike as well at the 675.
Good luck Simon this sound a very big job to fix
