Name and shame the company. Maybe you could start a new topic where people can shame insurance companies they've had trouble with. I'm looking for insurance soon as as with everyone the price is a big factor. But if the cheapest one is the same company you're with I'd rather pay a bit more and go with someone else.Tom L wrote:not really at all, the insurance company are just messing me about, so not only do i lose my bike, i now lose 2 years/nearly 3 no claims, excess of £210, and the fact they have said the bike isnt worth the value its insured for, so im losing loads of money and dont have transport till i can afford another bike, so i have to hitch to work (7 miles) every day. So basically really made a [Censored] mess of my life financially just because some small minded [censored] wanted a joy ride for one nights, and im paying for it over months if not years. I cant believe it, i feel so [Censored] abandoned by the system the fact im penalised for have MY BIKE stolen.
Thanks for the sympathy though, helps a little
i hate the world
I had a non fault accident wich took two years to sort and I was only TPFT. Just phone them everyday and remind them you're the customer and that they were quick enough to take your money.
Another thing is that when I wrote the Mrs car off they weren't gonna give us as much as we wanted, but he did tell me that if I could provide proof of a price to replace it with clippings of ads from autotrader etc thay'd match it. So look in the ads for a bike the same age, mileage etc and show the company. We ended up with a lot more:D
Hope this helps.

yeah thats what im doing at the moment, i only had the bike insured for a grand but i found bikes on auto trader 5 years older than mine, double the millage and advertised for like £1200-1400, so ireckon i should be able to get what i insured it for, is there any way i can get more than that. or is getting money out of insurance compnays like getting blood from a stone?
i dont have a drinking problem.......if anything, i'm [i]too[/i] good at it
