Anyone play online?

Soon I will be getting my 360

but have to trade in the PS2 and Xbox

will miss them, many good years of gaming

Dam the feckin counter-strike, I cant believe I still play it. I've just found out that GTA4 isn't coming out on the PC

PS3 ALL THE WAY BOYS. Used to have a 360 but the ps3 is just blatantly better. Plus 3 of my mates all took their 360s back as they got the dreaded 3 red lights.... 2 of them took 2 consoles bk!! Unreal!

I was thinking PS3 - but I have heard that the games are AWFUL and boring - any truth to that?

I had the three red lights, but sent it back and demanded two free games - which I got (PGR3 and GOW) so can't grumble

Stay away from the PS3, really crap at the moment. My brother got one and he got motorstorm, the only things you can do on it is race against the comp or online, no split screen and you crash on the smallest bumps.
Then we swaped it for fight night which just makes you angry because you just want to beat the crap out of the guy so you try and do everything and the guy just blocks you and then hits you, so you have to hit them the troditional way which just gets very repeditive. Then we got fall of man, which really could have been made for the PS2 it is that rubbish. The game play is crap, the graphics definaly arnt what you would expect from the PS3, the kind of game where enermys are pourposly placed next to red fuel cans which always blow up the same way. The is little choice of baddies to kill, about 4 I think and the story says it all, an single american comes to save England.
The only good games that are on the list at the moment is assassins creed, hells highway and GTA4, which are all coming out of Xbox360 anyway, and even though I want it to be, I think army of 2 wont be that good, probably very tram-lined. I haven't played on COD3 yet but apprently the gameplay is just like COD2 but with better graphics, so I would guess that is the best game out at the moment, but not by much. Spiderman 3 looks ok, if all you want to do is swing about, I played it at GAME and it felt like it could get boring, the swinging was good but unrealistic, you can't attack pedestrans and fighing people was rubbish.
Now I love games but the PS3 have made theirs all look bad at the moment, but I know they have only just started on the software and are definaly not using it very effectivly.
If you have a HD tv (not like me) and don't mind waiting for the good games to come out that havent been metioned yet the the PS3 would be good as it is sopposed to have better graphics and running speeds. If you want a good internet, have it a little cheaper but have to pay monthly for the internet and a larger choice of games, definaly the Xbox360.
I think the PS3 isn't worth its money now, but when its good games come out in the next few years with a HDtv, it will be better then the Xbox because it have the potental.

Agree with some of your points there, not many stunning games at the moment but be fair the ps3 has only been out 2 months here in uk.
1 essential game out though is Oblivion. I know its out on the 360 also but reviews i have read say graphics, loading times and framerate are a lot better on ps3.
Resistance fall of man, IMO, was a great game. Perhaps cos u have not seen it on a full HDTV you didnt see how good graphics were on that. Granted gameplay was quite linear but good fun none the less. Also the multiplayer has up to 40 players at once, lag free too.

Call of duty 3 is just fookin awsome, hooked on it on multi player at the mo

I love the fact that i dont have to pay to use these online features aswell, where as when i had the 360 i paid £40 for a years service

Most of the content is free in the PS store aswell which is great.
I think the PS3 is still definately the better console as it has a blue ray player built in, retail at about £500 ish at the mo on their own

it upscales standard dvd to HD, you can hook up a printer and print off photos stored on the 60 gig hard drive. It has multi format card readers, and outputs true 1080p resolution through the HDMI port, aswell as having a web browser.
The games on it have matched the 360 graphically already and these are only launch titles so expect within 3-4 months for it to wipe the floor with the 360.
Cant forget the exclusives such as Metal gear solid on the way either

You know the 4 green lights around the power on button? Well when it goes pop, which a high number have, three of those lights will turn red.

gotta say I think that the PS3 is stupidly priced - I agree that it has only just come out and so games will improve though, that should happen at the time of the price drop - a good thing.

On COD3 though, it was crap! Thought that COD2 was amazing though.
