You have a point if we're talking about a £500 bike you're going to expect that it won't be perfect & may even have some problems. But not all of the bikes appear to be crap, I've seen some on their website going for around the £2k mark. Now that may be small change to some folk, but there are still a fair few people that will consider it alot of money.

Don't you think it would be a better idea if they were to state what the problems were (if it's got any)? Most breakers appear to do this when selling on crash damaged bikes. At least that way they wouldn't be accused of being dishonest, & at least the customer would know what to expect.

Is it any wonder that people distrust dealers (car or/& increasingly bike) when that happens?

Not everyone is mechanically minded & knows what to look out for when looking at a bike. When dealers start treating the customer with contempt in that way all that happens is that they get a bad rep & people stay clear. Hardly good for business eh?
