Well on the motorway my 400 tops out about 120mph, but I think the drag caused by me has something to do with that  lol

I've had my 400 to 145mph, totally flat out...6th gear and 14000rpm. Its most comfortable between 80 and 110.

I clocked a vfr400r doing 147 on a flat as read from the clocks of the Gixxer 750 I was following him on - at that speed a set of modern gixer clocks arent gonna be more than a couple of mph out so you can presume he was doing a genuine 145.

chin on tank everything tucked in, knees ankles elbows, 10 and a half stone bloke on board.

Also it was tuned, running an expensive HRC carb block and full race system. It also had a tendancy to blow oil seals and crap fuelling under 8K made it pain to ride around town.

A stock or slightly modded VFR will struggle like hell to get above a genuine 135.

Sad thing is i can insure a new 1200 bandit fully comp for 800ish with only 1 years no claims discoun,t only benefit of being an old git. Well that and i can afford a new bandit. Going for the 600 hornet myself to start anyway. 8)
