Yep Szender if that's a definite from you, then that's fine if you don't mind going halves on fuel and bridge toll. I'm not sure if Dynamite will be joining us, but I've got back seats if anyone wants a lift without a bike. Preferable but not essential to travel in the afternoon rather than evening. Also I haven't used the bike trailer before so each to supply there own ratchet straps, and be responsible for strapping down his own bike. PM me if you have any questions.Szender wrote:hey, need a lift with me and my bike. wanting to go up on thursday after work ideally. and sixth gear i am goin pembrey which would be awsome if we could sort something out, and now im going llandow aswell so if space with you is still available would be good.

Re: How are YOU getting to Llandow ?
I picked up the 2 bike trailer from my friend Chris but the little 4.80/4.00-8" tyres are a bit perished and he doesn't have a spare. Does anyone else in the Exeter area have a 2 bike trailer to lend me and Simon/Szender. Otherwise it's a case of getting some new tyres for Chris’s trailer, or hiring one from Weston Trailers if they have one available at short notice.

Anyone know if you can fit 2 sports bikes into a 4'x8' floor/bed Wessex trailer?

Re: How are YOU getting to Llandow ?
erm, no i don't know
to both
get the tape out and measure your bikes, then go onto the manufacturers website and check out the internal dimensions on the van/trailer specifications

Re: How are YOU getting to Llandow ?
prob yes to both..
jason could get 3 bikes in that van
only prob with the trailer might be its length, so you might have to take the tailgate off

Re: How are YOU getting to Llandow ?
Length 2.1m so not a problem.
0.78m wide at Handlebars so they would have to overlap.
0.6m wide at Footpegs so an exact fit. Very tight couldn't be sure without trying it.
Specifications:
Internal Width: = 1.220m
Internal Length: = 2.450m
Internal Height: = 0.360m
External Width: = 1.720m
External Length: = 3.720m
External Height: = 0.805m
Unladen Weight: = 315kg
Max Gross Weight: = 1300kg
Loading Height: = 0.430m
Tyre Size: = 165 x R13 8 Pr

Re: How are YOU getting to Llandow ?
Umm..ya about leaving things till the last minute, I'v just got into Heathrow this afternoon, rather jetlagged... nevertheless I've still gotta sort some form of transport out, if not then may just have to ride up. Don't gun me down for this as I do realise I'm being hopefully ambitious asking for a space for my bike and I, however, I can offer to organise a van tomorrow morning if need be for myself and another person, unfortunately I can't drive up though, so would be more than happy to take someone up with me sharing costs if they are happy to drive us up tomorrow afternoon- I'm really flexible on times so whatever...I'm in Newton Abbot in case any one was interested

Re: How are YOU getting to Llandow ?
Two bikes will fit in that van no sweat. I would imagine two bikes would fit in that trailer happily too, it isn't too much different in size to the Erde 2/3 bike trailers - they're about 2.2 x 1.25m
Of all the things I have ever lost, I miss my mind the most .....

Szender & I have canceled the hire trailer from Western Towing, (who were surprisingly understanding) and gone in with Salty on a Jumbo Transit from Hertz Marsh Barton, booked for us by Kingy who works there.salty wrote:Umm..ya about leaving things till the last minute, I'v just got into Heathrow this afternoon, rather jetlagged... nevertheless I've still gotta sort some form of transport out, if not then may just have to ride up.
