Forum rules
You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

Friendly Ride - Sunday Aug 14th

Post by billinom8s »

You know the drill (viewtopic.php?f=37&t=89587) if you don't.

I am gonna run the route we did in the drizzle last November - full route, not the shortened one we ended up doing.

Here is the route, http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&sourc ... F8&t=h&z=9

normal rules and regs apply - no crying, pushing or running in the corridors :io:

I'm up for this, I'm guessing where it comes down onto the A30 thats GoogleMaps having its own idea of the best route as everyone loves that strip of the old A30. Is it possible to meet you guys at the other end of it at Whiddon Down Services before you drop onto the moors? Looks to be a good route on some roads I'd never have ridden still by then. So count me in on this Friendly :D
I don't ride at present, came off and can't wait to be back on.

Don't care who you are, how much you have, how powerful you are. You still sit on the toilet with your pants around your ankles. Yep, it's a level playing field..

yes mate, pillions are more than welcome - of all ages.

the only requirements for the day are that i stick to the posted limits, junction markers don't move until the tec comes through and that everyone has fun and comes home safely.

the friendly rides are designed with pillions, newbies, bornagains in mind. it's just a fun day out with no 'keep up' pressure.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

Yes or I could do that, it'll be one of those choices I'll make maybe when its in a few days and the weathers more predictable. The route includes a Ferry too? Does this cost money, never been on it and so don't know.
