Please, do you worst

Post by Bullet »

Well guys a quick overview if you will,

A couple of weeks ago I was all leathered up to meet Smiler for a Sunday Jaunt down to Bude. Bike out but no starting. I posted on here about battery and how to remove it as starting motor wouldn’t even click in. Was secretly hoping it wasn’t an immobilizer problem. I got some great responses.

I managed to get all the bloody rear fairings off to gain access to the battery, which was rear seat, panel by rider seat, all 4 side fairings to allow access to bolts to the rider’s seat so battery can be accessed. I have removed battery and then nearly got a new one. Eventually decided to research chargers and had my brand new optimate 4 delivered this morning: D After long day at work came home excited and fitted charger to battery of bike as instructions said if dis-charged. Strangely it said battery was only partially discharged and within 30 minutes was completely charged.
I put battery back on bike and reconnected so optimate can check the bikes electrics. All was well so turned on the ignition, pushed the button and testicles, no go. I sat there for 15 fecking minutes cursing the garage I got it from conjuring up what snippets of shit I was going to say to them in the morning when I glanced down to the handle bars and it struck me like a cartoon hammer, the fecking red cut out switch was off. Flicked switch and hey presto it fired straight up. What a twat I am

So please feel free to post any comments you feel prudent to this [censored] up , sock it to me, let it rip, don’t hold back, say your worst, don’t be embarrassed, don’t worry about my feelings, just let it all out with a vengeance

All comments are gratefully received :))

OMFG! Too funny for words!! =))

Bullet, fair play mate, not many folk would admit to something like this!!

But...you've learned how to access the battery on a zx10r and are now in receipt of a shiny new Optimate just in time for winter (sliver linings ?).....oh and the kill switch thing? Trust me, you'll never do it again... :)): :)): :)):

I am sure we have all done similar things mate so dont knock yaself too hard. i have a long list that i will not go into here, but i did similar with the little tdr, kickstart only, i kicked it over several times, when i did realise it was the kill switch, i flicked it on, then i kicked it over and there was a bang so loud Colonel Gaddafi nearly surrendered
