Is it safe to say...??!!

I didn't get it from Helmet City because I didn't have time to go back, so it's from Sportsbikeshop.co.uk - AGV Stealth SV - bought because it was reduced to nearly half price & they had my size in stock & yes Dan it's on the 5 star list. It fits well but I'm a concerned that the bit in front if my chin has a pointy shape that comes down quite far & hits my chest when I look down. Not a problem when riding, but not sure if it could cause damage to my sternum in a crash... Fingers crossed I won't have to find out.. Seems massive compared to my old helmet, which was a kids HJC. So jury's out, but I can't be bothered to send it back & faff around getting another one at the mo so I'll give it a go :-?

Kate, if your head is pushed far enough forward with enough force for the helmet to hurt your sternum, I think your neck would already be in serious trouble ......

I'm still soooooo tempted to go back up there and see if they'll do a deal on one of the carbon Bell helmets .......

No seriously it touches my chest just by leaning my head right forward - not over extending my neck - because it's got a bit that I think is supposed to be aerodynamic so it comes down to a point at the bottom of the chin bit! It's another 'being small' issue - I look like a lego person with the helmet on even though it's supposed to be a small shell!! It's a bloody nuisance!!

Worth a try I should think - at least they'll probably have some in stock in your size. When I went in there were about 4 I wanted to try and they didn't have a single one in XS!

  :)) :))

Well actually yesterday's ride was a pretty good test and I must say the new gear was great - once I'd removed the breath deflector that seemed to deflect straight onto my glasses & fog them up, the new helmet was awesome! Way better than my old one in every way - you get's what you pay for. The best improvement seemed to be that the little spoiler on it stopped my head from getting buffeted about so much in the wind & worked really well with my flyscreen so I was much more comfortable :)):

The hot grips..? Well I won't be taking them off!! Have to say though that they are brilliant at slow to medium speeds, but on the motorway, on a naked bike, they're more of a morale booster than anything else... :D :D
