A bike forum that actually rides?!!!!!

Post by merryfay »

Hello. Umm I would wave or grin or something but I seem to be incapable of using smilies.... Is it just me? Probably...

So. I have a bike, it has 2 wheels (no stabilisers), an exhaust that goes pop pop pop, a well used throttle, brakes (just), it is missing a spring, several screws too, & 1 crash bung, but otherwise all good.

Based in the north of Somerset -not North Somerset, just the north of just Somerset & get tons of bikers heading by at weekends (including that ride from Glastonbury last Sunday). Good watching. Wish I was capable of identifying bikes by sound though.

I'd love to join some rides sometime.

That enough for now? Make demands & I'll contemplate worthy answers ;)

Hi there, umm, Fay is it ? And welcome in to Swb.

So come no then, after that tantalizing description of your bike, what is it ?????????

There are a couple of rides coming up but if nothing takes your fancy or fits in your diary, just post one up of your own.

Tomorrow, leaving Taunton at a sensible time...check rideouts threads! :)):

Welcome along Fay, yes we do ride - on road, track and dirt!

Whatever you ride, come along to a meet up and say hi to some of the SWBers in your area :)):

Hehe, not Fay, just a tipsy fairy....

Tomorrow's ride sounds do-able. Half hour boring whip down the m-way to Taunton (I'm not good at early morning's), at your mercy to West Bay, then some crazy B-roads back up.

I've got a gorgeous black with sparkly bits (important stuff first) ZX6R. Hence I tend to stay off dirt. Roads are great. Track, ummmmm, I'm not sure if it was me or the bike that was last on a track. Pembrey, Honda, oops (explains the missing bits on the bike.....).
I confess I've lost a bit of mojo since then which I'd love to get back. Apart from a trip to Hockenheim I haven't ridden too much since then although weather & other stuff going on has contributed to that too. I may have tested my brakes out with a sharp stop on the first ride after fixing it too, caught my foot on the peg & dropped it too *blush*.

I sound like a right useless nonce now don't I!!! Honestly, I can ride, I don't normally crash/fall off/drop bikes.

:-D
