Can any body let me know of a Ktm dealer in Cornwall and if they are any good... And g girl, box hill is way too far . It's in dorking Surrey. It'll attract about 700 ish bikes every Sunday. There's no sort of time ,it's constant all day and has the famous Rykas cafe. Got pulled there once on my Ktm 990 for Akros and also on my blade for small plate. That's why I don't go near the place

KTM Dealer in Cornwall - not knowing that is worse than g-girl not knowing Box Hill! - I've been there (Box Hill)and yes got pulled by the police for no reason.

g-girl, unless you want to spend the day looking at other bikes & riders we have far better scenery/roads in Devon & Cornwall to keep you happy for a while.

Graeme, JD racing are in Saltash, JD as in Jon Deacon late Paris Dakar racer from the area. They are the main dealer for the area, I used to use them when my bike was newer when I was able to take a couple of days off to get the bike there, you're welcome to pm me.

Thanks Graham. It's only because I'm still under warantee so just need to know. Won't go there for anything else as I used to be a technician, old school as well so I always do my own work. Had to take the beast to main dealer for annual service just to keep warantee going. Proper pulled my pants down just to change oil and filter and turn service light off. I do love a Ktm though not mad for the build quality. I remember my old 990 had fuel tank leakage, rear brake calliper binding all within the first two months from new. Let's hope I have better luck with this one but it has been back twice for warantee issues.

Hey, You! Well I am in North West so my main Bike meeting point would be Devils Bridge etc B-) Surrey "Box hill" :erm: ...by the looks of it I haven't lost much :D

I will try to explore as many bike roads as possible but it will be done by finding them by mistake as I can't follow the sat nav etc  :-ss I bought my bike for riding not posing on bike meets or to look at others bikes all day nor being on a forum. The only reason I am on here is because I can't ride my bike at this moment [working] :(

Calm down girl! I used to love the roads around Surrey hills ( box hill area) but since that stupid olympics, every A hole is out all over the weekends on their push bikes, taking up all the road slowing all the cars down, which slows us on bikes right up as well. They have put in all these cycle routes now. Ruined the area. Sorry to any of you who are cyclist, but I can't stand them. Please don't try and defend them,as I am still a London cabby until I move down and I promise you all that the amount of cyclist I have to avoid on a daily basis is ridiculous.

Devils Bridge, passed that a few times on the way to Barbon Hill Climb.

Was only joking about Box Hill, TBH meets like that was legendary but we are a long way from anything like it down here - usually if we were to spend the day doing a round trip it'll be to a race meeting or event rather than to a social meet.

As I said, there's plenty to see here, don't worry about Sat Nav, some of the best places are found without trying - like a spot I found not so long ago where you can see the sun go into the sea whilst on the South Coast.

I don't mind anyone one the road really, cyclists, bus or lorry drivers etc Yes, I have witnessed few unexplained/shocking things done by others and done few silly things myself. I really don't care what others do. So after all I am maybe very calm girl ;) ;;)

Yes, that's near Kirkby Lonsdale :ymhug: I am not really into massive bike meets to sit and drink tea. I prefer smaller groups/meetings when we can manage to not get lost or separate by the traffic etc and have a little play here and there without getting too much attention #:-s :-bd

Nah ,meet quick ,rip up some serious tarmack, get me toe down, get a chase from plod, back to the pub. Only messing, mind you,I have been known to have done those ,but never in a group. I do get a bit mad when I'm on my own as I have no bottle line on my tyres, but ride like a gent when in a group,,,,,,,(providing I'm in front) . No ,I agree,I'm not into meets and chats, when I go for a ride,I wanna ride. And to superk, you will never change my mind about cyclist. Down in Cornwall you don't see hardly any. London streets ,especially at rush hours, is like the bloody Tour de France. The problem is they are getting so aggressive towards car drivers. They don't use their dedicated cycle lanes because they are too busy racing each other in their ridiculous lircra clothing. They race three a breast, never stop at lights or crossings....I've got to stop ranting or I'll be going on for hours. Laters guys and girls

I wasn't trying to change your mind I only show my point of view :) Don't get me wrong I don't mind stopping every so often to stretch legs and have a "rest". I've been in a group that main point of riding was just to go from one tea place to another so I join in here to find more suitable people to ride with. I am actually happy to go out on my own and is what I do most of times but sometimes would be nice to meet others and go together as one group, one team, one passion awwwww ;)

Well superk, where abouts are you? I'll definitely meet you for a blast. Not in wet though. YES. I am a fair weather rider. No ,I'm not a woos. I did 3 years of knowledge and dispatch riding in London 18 years ago and can assure you all,it pissed down on me nearly every day. Used to do 10 hours a day on the bike. Always soaked.

Ok. Sounds good. Maybe someone else on this site may join in. Mind you, everyone has gone quiet since my original introduction post. Probably put them off already. Never mind, such is life. Any ways ,if you ride with too bigger group,in my experience there's always a spill where someone acts the twat
