I would like to introduce you to my new bike. She is a BMW F650cs in really good condition. She has only covered 26000 miles and rides beautifully. Goes very well for a big single thumper and sounds good by having the Scorpion can fitted.
Now let's play a little game (No I am not making a Saw film sequal lol) Have a guess on how much I paid for her?

And as I own an unfaithfull Futura (known as Phut to some people - Nick!) I'll give you 50 quid for that number plate, so, bargain, a free bike for you !
I've been seriously considering one of these as my next bike. £1700 to £2300 depending on the usual but I've seen them £400 over and under that. I'm more interested in you posting up here after a couple of months how you get on with it longer term. I know they are fun and fast enough so are there any drawbacks and is the economy as good as they say.

The extras new cost more than that. I brought it off a friend so got it on mates rates but it was still a bargain nevertheless. It has a Scorpion Exhaust fitted, fender extender, stuff cover, main stand, giving box and rack with a extra tail light in it, a daytime running light and only had a brand new Avon AV56 rear tyre fitted 200 miles ago. It has been well serviced and looked after.
So far I am chuffed with it

Hmmm, not wishing to rain on your parade, but an ex of mine had one of those for a year or so and it was useful in helping her gain confidence after passing her test but that was about all it was useful for. The headlights were criminally poor and the performance could best be likened to molasses. Gutless comes nowhere near describing it, and the handling was vague and imprecise due to the lack of weight over the front wheel.
£800 you say? Enjoy....

Maybe that was an older model or just a lemon because everyone I know with one loves the handling especially and says the engine is surprisingly responsive. I imagine the front end would be light compared to fully road designed bikes but all the reviews agree it is a great handler.

I have owned my fair share of bikes and can quite happily say that it is perfect for what I need round here.
I find the handling precise and predictable. I would even go as far as saying it's one of the best handling bikes I have ridden. In terms of power, it says they are 50hp. I have gained a bit extra from dumping the standard can (The OE can contained a cat) and the torque is very impressive. She pulls extremely well.
I appreciate the input though bud, but I can't say I have experienced the same thoughts and feeling
