They are mental!!! i seen a one a while back in Dawlish while cruising about on my RD350......thought i would give 'em a run 4 their money........big mistake - i think it was a Yamaha of some description....blue an' white single cylinder 4-stroke motor....but as we went away from the lights i was eating humble pie - it was fast as ****...i never thought a single could be that quick....i have rode a quad before but only a farm one............

I think I got it: http://www.jetskiecosse.co.uk/road_legal_quads.htm
How much road tax do I have to pay for a quad?
A quad is taxed as a small car so it is £110 per year at the moment
What driving licence do I need?
You need a full car licence (or pre 1999 bike licence) to ride a quad on the road
At the moment you can't pass a driving test on a quad

Yeah I seen them going around quite a bit recently. A red one and a black one I think? Right show offs they are, but then again I would be if I had a road legal quad, how class is that.

There's a guy who works at Victor Barry tyres in Plympton, Newnham Rd, who rides a red one to work.
Usually see him when I'm out walking the dog.
