Not liking this no more than 6 people gathering in England, at the moment we could ride to wales in 2 groups of 5 then regroup over the bridge as long as Wales doesn’t change their rules

So far there appears to be a lag in the system as Wales don't copy, or at least want to be seen to be following England. So may still be on. John will meet us at the services as he lives Chippenham way. Alan, Wendy & myself could meet at B'water and ride up together. That leaves the Devon based group of 5. Meet over the Bridge in Wales?

I can talk to myself on the intercom so I could be classed as a group of 1.
Dont see how a group of riders larger than 6 is going to upset anyone - there's no proof everyone is in the same group and if we've all refuelled before we meet at junc 27 we'd just be bikers riding up the M5.
There are that many bikes in Wales you can't tell where one grouo ends and another starts so don't think we'll have a problem over there

That place is stuck in the 1970s so I don't think the landlord has heard of compulsory use of helmets let alone Covid 19

I've just checked on the BBC website and it states that currently you can only have up to 30 people in a group if they're from 2 households. There's already a limit of 6 from multiple households so no change as far as I can see

Re: Wales 2020 - Fri 25th to Sun 27th September
The one o'clock news on the BBC today states that "Due to the steep increase in positive testing for Coronavirus in England, from today, and by law, there must be no more than a six person gathering either indoors or outdoors."
The beeb went on to say that the devolved governments of Wales etc. have yet to make any statement regarding this.
So, it's going to be a case of, if nothing changes from the Welsh government then we'll be safe and legal once over the border but, legally we'll have to make our way through England to said border in groups of six maximum. I would suggest meeting up in Chepstow, exact point to be decided by Herr Ptolemyx.

Tesco car park is the best bet if you're meeting in Chep. Fuel there and loads of space.

Cheers pretend Ptol'
.
Tesco is o.k. but it's right in the town. In the past we've used the Spar shop car park on the junction of the A466 Monmouth road and the B4235 turning to Usk as a meeting point. It's handy as easy to find and then we're straight onto some great roads into the Welsh hinterland
.

We'll see what His Magnificence the proper Ptol' decides, he knows where he's going, we are but his (dis)loyal troops, existing only to serve and follow

The good ol' 4235 is on 3 of my 6 welsh rides out. One out and twice back. Due to locals campaigning and complaining the powers have double white-lined a lot of the southern end.
Do you know dear reader that I've been past there numerous times and never realised there was a shop there. I thought it was a used car lot. S'pose it's one-track-mind in lead mode.
