summer is coming!

Post by billinom8s »

An unusual upbeat post from me

Yesterday was the winter solstice and therefore the shortest day sunlight wise.
That means from today the hours (or minutes) of daylight are on the increase.

What do you have going on now the days are getting longer and of course hotter as we live in the UK. :)):

I think the days will still be getting colder as temperature lags behind the hourly sunshine. Hence I'm hibernating until March, or more likely April. :-)

Meanwhile saving up for tyres and suspension.

Yup kind of similar that hibernating until end of March as the sub 10 deg temperatures are around. However really want to make the most of 2025 when the sun and warmth does arrive. 2024 didn't get out anywhere near as much as i would have liked due to "family issues" and dealing with lots of family stuff. so want to make up for it in 2025

I won't be hanging around in the forlorn hope that the summer of 2025 will be wall to wall sunshine - this is the UK and 2025 is likely to be as wet as usual. My old Sprint has now had most of the upgrades I've been promising since I got it i.e. a rear shock that works, airbox mod, de-cat silencer with associated ecu tweaks, rebuilt front end, heated grips, upgraded brake pads etc. and I'll be out and about whenever the roads and weather gods say 'yes'.

Me too... but this year kind of got away from me.
I'm hoping to get back on track before next winter, but either-way I'd still have to be home for Xmas or risk serious consequences (from my Mum). :)):
