Hello from High Bickington

Post by Shaun100 »

Hi New here. Live on a farm just outside High Bickington nr Umberleigh North Devon.
55yrs been riding since full licence since 17. Had most bikes over that course from sports, sports tourers to naked and currently on a BMWr1300gs.
Ridden at time as only source of transport and did my fare share of winter snow riding and fowl weather. Being older, maybe not necessary wiser but I tend to ride just for pleasure these days. Like to ride out on nice days and if there is any one local who likes a ride out at a steady but not rushed pace or a group who meets up love to hear from you all.. I have toured most of UK by bike but not got abroad so far, have done by car and camper but not bike...
Suns starting to show its face and fingers crossed to better riding weather for spring..
Ride safe.....

Hi Shaun and welcome to SWB. You're right smack dab in the middle of a lot of our rideout territory so keep your eye out for those, there'll be plenty upcoming once the weather improves. Give the various topics, especially the rideout ones, a read to get an idea of what (and who) to expect.

Hiya Shaun, I'm close to you in North Molton. You sound like you could be a recruit for our "greyones" group here. You're most welcome to join us on ride outs, next one will be soon. Quite a few of us are mad enough to ride throughout the year enjoying the better days when others are still hibernating.
old and disgraceful so doing what I can while I can before I can't
