I nearly joined the RAF, been to interview and everything, had 4 days officer training at Cranwell organised too.. but pulled out, after a long hard think about it decided it wasnt the path for me. I applied for officer to be a fast-jet pilot, although the job sounds amazing too me, I dont want military lifestyle, I'm the sort of person that when I'm shouted at in 30 weeks initial training, I'll tell someone to go away..

Tornado GR4 Top Speed = 1452mph approx Mach 2.2
Tornado F3 Top Speed = 1480mph

Was made to memorise all RAF aircraft and roles, most statistics, how many are owned.. etc.. to be tested in the interview.

Also I read the other night that when you have to eject from an aircraft you lose an inch in height

And if your unlucky enough to have ejected 3 times then your forced to end your career.
